1 bedroom for rent in 2 bedroom apt in Wilsonville
My name is Miguel. Just about a month ago my wife and I moved into our lower level, 2 bedroom apartment in Wilsonville Oregon. We are searching for a good match to rent out our medium-sized extra bedroom.
We are conveniently located within walking distance to parks, restaurants & shopping. Just a hop away is the Wilsonville Rd I-5 Exit. Commuting to Portland or Salem is a breeze!
The room for rent is not necessarily small or large, it is medium-sized.
There is a bus stop across from the apartment. I am not sure how it works, but Wilsonville does have a ride-free program of some sort.
We have a super relaxed dog who doesn’t chew/ tear up anything, have accidents inside, or bark non-stop. Our cat is even lazier—she only meows when I am preparing her meals in the morning and at night.
In terms of the kitchen space, we have two full-sized refrigerators: one indoors and another under the patio. I will need to use some of your freezer space, but other than that, it is all yours.
The apartment has 1 & 1/2 baths. The only full bath is located in the hallway between the two bedrooms. It is to be shared.
Just a heads-up, interior washer and dryer units aren’t allowed in the apartment, but I’ve come up with a solution. The washer and dryer are set up in the backyard under a cozy canopy with zippers on every side, making it easy to access while keeping everything dry. I also installed a propane outdoor instant water heater, so you can enjoy hot and cold laundry washes. For the dryer, I opted for a whisper-quiet propane generator. (How quiet it really is, I do not know. I have not tried it yet.) I accidentally ordered the wrong amp converter, but the right one should be arriving in a couple of days. If you’d prefer, there’s also a small laundry room available for use.
We are downsizing from a huge 3-bedroom home with a double car garage, attic storage, plus a separate 16*12 storage unit. We are still getting settled in & in the process of unpacking, but we’re excited about this new adventure!
To accommodate our currently massive storage needs (till we can organize & get rid of stuff.) I’ve installed a 10 ft. by 20 ft. portable enclosed carport to use as a temporary storage solution in the back yard.
Both the enclosed laundry canopy & storage space are new & will match—that way they are not an eyesore.
While there is no "real" fireplace, there is an electric faux fireplace/heater in the living room.
My wife and I are closer to 50 years old. However, our last roommates were single men in their early 30s. It worked out great. I am hopeful this will too.
For the most part, we are both quiet and keep to ourselves. Neither one of us is a neat freak, however, we do like to keep a clean home environment.
I work outside of the home and my wife is neck deep in the process of setting up our newly licensed “virtual” car dealership. The office is located in Newberg, but my wife works mostly from home. She rarely leaves our bedroom as that is where she conducts business.
