Room Available in Kips Bay!

Hey there! We have a bedroom opening up in our 5 person apartment and are looking for a new roommate to join the fam. Some of us have been here 5+ years (the guy who is leaving was here for 8!) so we got a good dynamic going and we’re looking to keep the same vibe. None of us knew each other previously and came in through Craigslist so it's kinda like a New Girl situation. It’s fine if you don’t watch the show, surely the context clues can get you through the reference.

We’re looking for someone to move in April 1st. The old roommate is open to leaving behind their furniture if needed, that's something we can work out with you.

Our apartment is HUGE—over 1,400 square feet (that's the size of a suburban house!), with a kitchen and living room the size of most studio apartments. Not to mention a separate den/office area. There are two full size bathrooms, both have been renovated within the last four years.

What we’re looking for:
Ideally looking for someone also in your mid-late 20s/early 30s, and some kind of stable career going on that will make us feel confident you can pay rent every month. No couples, no kids, and unfortunately cats and dogs aren't allowed by the building. Ideally you're cool, easy-going, clean, interesting, and respectful. Our last roommate was a fabulously talented fashion mag executive from Mexico who made us mind-blowing tacos and helped us throw terrific soirees…soooo if you could be that….we would love it. We already miss him dearly.

Who we are:
We're 2 male and 2 female working professionals in our late 20s/early 30s. We all have work lives and relationships that keep us busy, so it's pretty rare that all of us are ever here at the same time. We do have a history of tasteful and extremely well-decorated Halloween parties, we love an award show viewing party, and everyone is very clean!

What you get:
Rent will be $1250 per month and you will not be required to sign onto the lease, although we do ask for at least a year commitment. One month’s rent is due as security deposit before moving in. This has been the system that's been passed down in the crew for over 20 years! The utilities & cable/Wifi run anywhere from $100-175/month depending on time of year.

Most of the furniture in the apartment is fairly new--big comfy couches in the living room, a large glass kitchen table, a desk, big living room TV with all the sports packages, cable, Netflix, Hulu, Prime, Disney+, etc. We have a large fish tank in the kitchen maintained by one of our roommates. There's also central heat, central AC, a roomba, a printer (both regular and 3d!), a dishwasher, a microwave, a toaster, an air fryer, and a new full stove/oven. This is one of the best apartments on Craigslist. Your room, while not one of the biggest in the apartment, is cozy, quiet, and warm. Also, laundry is on site.
