Large Bedroom in Chinatown

The apartment is on the 4th floor of a (3 flights) walk up, in a nice quiet building with a recently renovated interior. The available bedroom is at the back of the building and faces the courtyard area of the property. It's a great size, gets good heat in the winter, has two windows, good light, and can come furnished with a double bed, standing wardrobe, dresser, and AC. I am open to you replacing what you wish and removing what's not needed.

Ideally you have no communal furniture and not too much kitchen gadgetry as I've lived in NYC 11 years, 7 in this spot, and have most everything we'd need. Brand new pay-per-use washer and dryer are available for use in the basement, and a larger laundromat and great cleaners are directly behind the apartment.

The bathroom and kitchen are both large and modern, and kept CLEAN! I've have never had a roach or rodent problem in the unit and never noticed any problems in building. The family that owns the property has some colleagues and family living in several units, so they are very attentive to it needs and have always been wonderfully responsive if something came up.

Ideally you don't have the same schedule as me and do not freelance or work from home. Over the years I've found this arrangement promotes the most balanced living situation for two strangers :)

It is expected that you will be helpful with cleaning in communal spaces and respectfully keep the apartment maintained in your personal space. As I am not asking anyone to join or sign a lease, I am asking for 1 month's security and a simple signed contract between us that we agree to recording the deposit and any timelines etc.

The neighborhood is vibrant and bustling during the day but calm and quiet by night. It is a very cool and historic part of town and the apartment is located in its best area-surrounded by yummy dim sum spots, adjacent to super adorable and active Columbus park, with lots of fun local things to do in and around. Apartment is a quick walk to 3 CitiBike stations and convenient to the NQRW, 6, BDF, JMZ, & ACE by 5-10 minutes walking.

While I am looking for someone 6+ months, just to keep things less disruptive, I *would* be open to a short term rental for work or residency purposes at a slightly higher monthly rate of $2,000.

About me... I'm a fashion stylist with a freelancer's schedule. There will be weeks when I'm traveling or running around with no days off, and other times when I'll work from home, and other times when I'll have random days off. Despite the varied schedule I manage to keep incredibly clean (comes with the career). I eat meat (have no preference if you do or not), have no pets (and not looking to add any), and I don't pay for cable TV (but you can totally have that hooked up if its a must for you!) I'm VERY 420 friendly and it's a requirement you're ok with that. Also LGBTQ+ friendly and just plain friendly :)
