Short-term sublet in sunny apmt. with 2 roommates

Ad ref# 102264633

Hello!

General + neighborhood: We are a partnered couple, each with our own room. We are subletting a room that our friend will move into this summer. So the end date of this sublet might be the end of June or July, it's still to be determined. But there is possibility for extension since another roommate might leave at the same time.

The room is $983 per month, not including utilities. We just moved in so we're not sure how much utilities pan out to be per month but we're told it may go up to $100. So budget for around $1,083, + wifi.

(We just moved in so forgive the terrible photos! It will be a homey and clean space).

The remaining fourth bedroom is to be used as a studio space/guest room/area to spend time in. The apartment is up two flights of stairs, no elevator. We are a short walk north of the 2/5 Winthrop stop, and a 10-15 minute walk from the Parkside Q stop. The Main Street outside is bustling but not overly loud. It's generally pretty quiet at night. There are a few delis and grocery stores nearby, as well as good coffee shops and restaurants, and a short walk to Prospect Park.

Room + apartment: The room has a standing closet with space to hang clothes, shelves, and a mirror. It comes with a metal bed frame and mattress, size full.

The rest of the apartment is furnished though we may still need a couple things so feel free to offer if you have anything to bring! Otherwise the apartment has basically no storage space. So anything personal you want to keep or store will have to go in your room. There is a laundromat on the ground floor.

The main living space has a couch, dining table, and open kitchen. We enjoy cooking a lot, reading, playing music, and keeping the home as a safe and calm place to come back to after work or going out. We both work remotely, though I am more in the office.

If you're interested, tell us about yourself, how you like to spend your time, what you're looking forward to in a living situation, and what are big dealbreakers for you.

Thank you!

ABOUT US
This is multicultural house full of books and good food. While we are a couple (she/her, he/him, mid-20s) we have both apart and together lived with many people and have developed deep friendships with as well as simply enjoyed the company of many roommates. We appreciate having friendly, open, and communicative roommates who are down to have a chat, go for a walk in the park, have a beer nearby, but respect the daily realities of working from home and can enjoy solitude. Lastly, it is important that we have a clean home with shared responsibilities. At the end of the day, we'd love to get to know you and share creating a calm and welcoming home.

PS: We're happy to video call to show you the apartment to make up for the photos.

RENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Our landlord does need to approve the subletter so you will have to fill out an application & sign an agreement.

PETS POLICY
Our landlord is okay with it so long as the pet is well trained and doesn't damage the property. We love cats and dogs and will happily help care for them.

If this sounds good and you’re interested we’d love to chat! Lmk if you have any questions.
