Great Room in Downtown Brooklyn/Boerum Hill

We are looking to fill an unfurnished room in our 3BR/1BA apartment in Boerum Hill/Downtown Brooklyn! This is a 4th floor walkup on Atlantic Avenue. Our current roommate has already moved out, so you can move in as soon as the lease is signed.

We are looking for someone to sign on for a year lease (will expire March 31st, 2024).

The room comfortably fits a queen bed, dresser, and other furniture. Yes, the walls are black for some reason (it was this way when we moved in. You are welcome to repaint on your own if you’d like.) The room is in the back of the apartment, so there's no street noise. It shares a wall with my room. Air conditioner/TV pictured are not included.

The apartment itself is great, and is my favorite of the places I've lived here in NYC. We have a fully stocked kitchen (oven, microwave, Vitamix, slow cooker, etc.), but please note the dishwasher doesn't work. Big living room with a brick wall. The bathroom is also really nice, and we get great water pressure in the shower. Heat and hot water are included.

There is FREE laundry in the basement. There's just 3 apartments in the building, so you rarely (if ever) will have to wait to use it.

Utilities are usually about $27 each for internet, $25 for electric (this goes up in summer, usually around $80 per person because of all the ACs), and $20-$30 for cooking gas. Heat/hot water included.

The area is awesome. We're a 4 minute walk from the Hoyt-Schermerhorn stop, and also close enough to the F/N/Q/R/2/3/4/5 trains, and the LIRR. Atlantic Terminal/Barclays is about a 9 minute walk. Brooklyn Bridge Park is one mile and Prospect Park is 1.5 miles. Plenty of grocery stores nearby (Stop and Shop, TWO Trader Joes, Brooklyn Fare, Key Food, etc.), coffee shops, bars, etc. There are also several gyms super close.

Roommates:
Kyle works as an analyst and has a hybrid role. He mostly works out of the living room. He's pretty quiet and does a lot of takeout.

I (Jenn) work in marketing. I work from home, but I have a desk in my room and am almost always in here. I love to cook/bake and am always willing to share. I get up around 6 every morning, so I'd prefer someone who doesn't have the TV blasting into the night.

What we're looking for:
We're looking for a chill and quiet roommate who cleans up after themselves and is willing to chip in to help clean/take out the garbage/buy toilet paper/etc. Pretty much just be considerate - don't blast music, be super loud, etc.

We're open to small dogs, but due to allergies cannot take cats.
