One or two rooms for one person

Ad ref# 102441099

Hi! Thanks for checking out my listing. Most importantly, please read everything here before replying! The importance of finding someone I want living in my home completely outweighs just finding _someone_.

This should be in the ad information, but just to be upfront, I am not looking for: couples, people with their children, smokers, short-term renters ( under 6 months ) or dogs.

The rental is for one or both spare bedrooms with full access to the house and yard. The single bedroom is $750, both spare bedrooms are $1000. Each room is ~11’ x 11’.

The house is pretty centrally located so it has great access to stores, shopping, the strip, airport, downtown, Henderson, highways, etc. It is also on a pretty quiet street which is great.

I’m looking for someone that wants to live in a clean home. My house isn’t sparkling clean but it stays generally clean and I certainly don’t want to live in a house that’s always a mess, or I have to navigate messes to live and do things in the house. Also, decorate the bedrooms and bathroom however you wish, but the rest of the house is mine to play with.

If you rent both rooms you should have enough space for extra furniture but for now I don’t need anything else in the rest of the house.

Otherwise, you’re easy to get along with, are respectful of other people’s stuff and space, have at least some sense of humor, have good communication skills, and know how and want to live with someone else. Lastly, I’d like to meet a couple times before we make any decisions and I’d hope you would want the same thing. This is when we can vibe check and make sure we feel like we could be good roommates.

I am asking for referrals. Someone with whom you’ve lived and can give me an idea of what you’re like to live with. My previous roommate left for family reasons and a job in Colorado but will gladly talk to you if you wish.

The house is not a party house. They happen on occasion but it’s not a regular thing. I’m happy for you to have your friends over for food, drinks, to hang out, but too much and it won’t feel like a place to rest and relax. Also, if a significant other is here enough that I feel like I have a third roommate, that’s again a no for me.

For me, I’m more liberal than not but I also recognize the importance of thoughtful conservative opinions. I’ve traveled a bit and have lived and worked overseas which has left me more open-minded than not. I like to cook, spend time with friends, exercise, read, watch tv. Normal stuff. College educated with a worthless degree but I loved the experience of college if nothing else…

If you have read this far, thank you so much for taking the time!! When asking about the room, please let me know you’ve actually read everything and please tell me about yourself! The people who don’t, I already know don’t care enough to do some basic minimums for finding a place to live and thinking about the person they’ll be living with. Thanks and hopefully talk to you soon!

p. s. Please let me know if you’re ok with cats! I’m seriously considering get 1 or 2 cats 😊
