Self-reliant — you handle your own life, your own laundry, your own bad days. We're roommates, not each other's support system.
Clean and considerate — your dishes don't live in the sink, the bathroom stays usable, and the common space is something we both protect.
On time with your share — rent on time, utilities on time, heads-up when guests are coming through. The boring stuff that makes everything else easy.
Not a ghost — you've got your own thing going (hobby, side project, gaming, whatever) and you're occasionally down for a beer on the patio or a Costco run together. Not roommates who never see each other, not best friends — somewhere in the middle.
