This apartment abuts a greenway and buildings in the apartment complex. It offers city living, with nearby stores and restaurants, along with a small but lovely forest, with birds sitting in the tree branches outside the window throughout the year. The apartment is on the top floor of a two and a half story walk up, with a common use laundry room downstairs. Located close to both Route two and I-95, and on an MBTA bus route.

The bedroom that is available is 121 feet square, with windows that face the greenway. The outside window sill is a good spot to feed the birds that gather in the trees. Inside the double wide closet has a mirrored door, which visually enlarges the room and reflects the natural light from the windows and the three lamps. The floor is hardwood with area rugs available for use. The furniture is all light or painted wood and the mattress is full size and two years old. There are two bookcases, a dresser, bed, bedside table, and armchair. This is the coziest room in the place, a peaceful place to rest and to work.

The living and dining room are open concept, with lots of places to read a book or lay out a project. These common areas hold an amalgam of items, especially books, art and objets d?art gathered during a life well lived (so far at least). The kitchen is a comfortable size and fully stocked with cooking gear, which could be fun for someone who enjoys cooking. There is a large balcony that effectively becomes an extra room during the warmer months. The apartment itself is generally quiet, as is the condo complex. T People say they find the apartment comfortable and cozy.

There is a laundry in the building.

Rent is due on the first of the month and a security deposit in the amount of a month?s rent is due upon move in. There is a lease, with a variable term but a minimum of six months. A background check and verification of income will be done prior to signing the lease.

Please be ? Responsible for maintaining reasonable levels of cleanliness and organization and sharing housekeeping responsibilities in the common areas. Honest, independent, flexible, curious, and kind. Committed to sharing a peaceful and comfortable home while respecting the other tenant?s privacy. Not a partier or tobacco smoker. Willing to discuss and work out any disagreements about the living situation so that the result is practical and agreeable to both of us and within the agreed upon conditions of the lease. Comfortable with conversation and with silence.

There is a resident cat, Twyla, who shares the apartment. I would like to find someone willing to do occasional cat care in exchange for partial rent reduction when I have to be away, which happens infrequently.

I do expect you to bring your own food and cook by yourself the majority of the time. I am very open to eating or sharing sporadically but not every day. I am a night owl and generally sleep between 2-3 am and 10-11 am. I'm not easily disturbed and am very respectful of others' sleeping schedule and expect the same. Different sleep schedules have never been an issue with previous roommates. I use medical marijuana.

Among my favorite ways to spend time are reading, doing research and writing. I enjoy intelligent conversation and music, movies - especially Bollywood -reading on the balcony, swimming at Walden pond (which is just 15 min away by car), biking and dancing. I spend most of my time at home; my favorite trips out are to the local libraries and coffee shops. I don't entertain much; am quiet, independent, mature, and kind. While I am generally a serious person, I love to laugh and enjoy word play tremendously. I am politically liberal with a special sensitivity to social justice and human rights issues.

Opportunities for discovery, learning, understanding and growth are always interesting to me. Having a new roommate is always such an opportunity. I hope you think so too.
