Private room in nice house
I just purchased my first home and will be renting out the main floor bedroom. The room is unfurnished, but has a very nice closet with mirrored sliding doors. You would have full use of the entire home except for the upstairs bungalow where my tiny bedroom, office and bathroom are. The main floor has a bathroom with a nice shower. I would say the bathroom is semi-private because the shower and storage in there would be all yours, but it would still be the bathroom used by most visitors.
The house was recently renovated so the kitchen and bathroom are newer and the house has all new kitchen and laundry appliances. My tenant would have full use of my well-equipped kitchen plus their own cupboard space and half of the large fridge space.
The living room may not be completely furnished right away as I'm needing to prioritize some house projects over others, but there will definitely be space to relax outside of your room. If you have living room furniture that hasn't been exposed to pets or smoke you could probably bring it with you. We can discuss anything you'd want to put in the house besides your own bedroom furnishings.
The yard is small, but there is room to garden if you are interested. The garage does not currently have electricity and will be used primarily for storage at this time, but the driveway can be used for parking and street parking is available with the exception of trash day and snow emergencies.
This house is being designed to be a calm oasis for the residents (just you and I!) to relax in and enjoy. I am looking to live with a working adult who is respectful and reliable and brings good energy to the space. I have pretty severe allergies so there will be no smoking of any kind allowed on the property and I also need to avoid most fragrances. If you don't use perfumes and can be happy with fragrance free laundry products, we should be ok! I am not looking to have pets in the house at this time, but I might consider an animal in a tank or cage.
You would be welcome to have courteous guests in the home on occasion, but this is not a party house and I would aways expect (and provide) advance warning before any non-residents came to the house. I do not like surprise guests and appreciate people who can plan ahead as I do.
I tend to be mostly introverted and enjoy fairly calm hobbies in the home when I'm not out at work, volunteering, or at dance class. I bake a little and am hoping to get better about meal prepping now that I have a big beautiful kitchen. I can absolutely hang out and hold a good conversation sometimes, but most evenings I am happiest to wrap up human interactions for the day and read a book upstairs. I am pleasant, considerate and sometimes even
fun to be around. I'd like to find a similar vibe in a tenant. I want someone who will help keep the common areas neat and clean, treat the house like home and fully enjoy living here.
There are some fun places within walking distance and 75 is only about a minute away by car which is very convenient. It's a nice safe spot and the neighbors I've met seem great. Anything else you want to know, please ask! I do have photos available, but for privacy reasons prefer not to post them.
