Room for rent

We have a room for rent that comes with a basement storage area. Full access to common areas such as kitchen, bathroom and living room.

Who we are
We are a couple in our 30s with a 4 year old. We have one very loving dog and a cat. We are a no drama household. We are introverted but laid back and actively try to understand and accommodate other people's needs and lifestyles. We will be picky about applicants because we have a child in the house.

Ideal tenant
Our ideal tenant is a straight laced person who is employed full time or attending college. We prefer people who are at least in their 20s+ but we may be flexible for the right person. We would like someone who doesn't create drama and is capable of handling the noise and antics of a 4 year old kid in a grown-up manner. Applicants should have a stable income and their own transportation. We are not looking for felons, heavy smokers, unemployed individuals or people that party or do hard drugs (marijuana edibles are ok.) We would prefer no pets but might be flexible for the right pet.

What we need
We will require at least 3 character references and proof of employment. We will do a background check. Any candidate will need to meet with us in person a few times so we can see how well we get along.

Rent is $500.00 a month and 750.00 to move in (includes a refundable security deposit.) If you choose to share meals then plan on chipping in a reasonable amount, otherwise we can provide you some fridge space for your own food. Rent includes utilities. We have Internet. Only one parking space is available.
