For rent: A large room with a connected walk-in closet (the closet is large enough to fit a queen bed), private bathroom (shower + tub, one sink, large mirror, cabinets, toilet), and a very tall bedroom window (with blinds installed). The large balcony connected to the bedroom window allows great sunlight to stream in -- especially in the afternoons and during sunset. Rooms all lock, windows all have blinds.

Shared living space is functional, clean, and welcoming. There is a kitchen island, storage space for the roommate (and their partner if applicable), an oven, washing machine, laundry washer & dryer, an electric stove, pancake maker, a microwave, fridge & freezer, pots/pans, silverware, cups, full array of spices and herbs, and so forth. We already bought first aid stuff, medicine, got a fire extinguisher, soaps, etc.

Looking for clean, respectful professional or responsible student. Couples are welcome. This person (or both people if in a couple) must sign the lease with the apartment building, which requires renter's insurance, credit check (and accompanying fee), and a background check. You'd then get a key. Electricity, sewer, pest control, trash, and water bills would be split between tenants. Utilities are not included in rent. We love dogs (but have none)! Some breeds aren't allowed, though, by the building. There is a pet spa (and monthly pet rent) but all fees and cleaning would be on you. There is a great gym (treadmills, punching bag, weight rack, and so on), a bike storage room, a Pilates studio, outdoor grills, a courtyard, and a pool here, too. It's a new build, no pets have been here (so it's asthmatic friendly).

Walkable to metro (<10 min walk), buses, grocery stores (2-35 min walk depending on if you're a Safeway vs Whole Foods/Trader Joe's person), and restaurants. Boba and Starbucks <5 min walk away. Easy commute into DC.

We live in the other room (it's a 2Bedroom/2Bathroom place >1000 square foot. Our side is about the same size as the side up for rent). We heat to 65 degrees in the winter in accordance with EPA guidelines. Rent will increase by ~$142 in May.
