Midcentury Modern Female Human seeks second Human of any vintage to share her Silver Spring Midcentury Modern home with one funny Pandemic Era Female Feline.

We live on a tree-lined street of 1950s ramblers just 4 miles from the medical centers at NIH and Walter Reed, between Forest Glen (1.5 miles) and Wheaton (1 mile) Metro stations. Not fancy, but homey, with nearby parks, convenient shopping, and eclectic local restaurants. Plus there’s Lucy (also known as Nut Job), the aforementioned 2-1/2-year old kitty, to make you laugh.

We’re looking for a housemate – ONE ONLY – not just a renter.
Someone compatible, congenial, communicative, and LGBTQI-friendly.
MUST be FULLY-VACCINATED against COVID and responsible about exposure.

You’ll have the basement bedroom, the largest one in the house, along with a private bath and a semi-private study area. Plus – lots of privacy!! There's a shared family room, washer and dryer, and storage on the lower level as well, but I'm not down there that much. Lucy does go downstairs and will eventually require you to play with her, so only a real cat lover will be happy. She hopes you'd be willing to feed her sometimes when/if I’m occasionally out of town.

I'm an unemployed/retired (take your pick) female baby boomer, somewhat bohemian, occasional musician, certified Crazy Cat Lady, home a lot during the day. My circle of friends is highly multigenerational, and some of my best housemates were 20-somethings. I host klezmer (Yiddish) music practice sessions some Tuesday evenings with up to 7 people. My previous housemates have all said they enjoyed the music.

Sorry, no more pets. Doctor’s orders. But Lucy has more personality than all my previous cats combined.

I’m fully vaccinated against COVID-19, but being a high-risk patient I still have to be careful about exposure and ask that you respect that. Again, compatibility counts.
