Furnished room on red line
Hi. This is an ad for a furnished room in our awesome house. The nearest of two bathrooms would be shared by a woman in her early 20s.
The neighborhood is relatively safe (violent crime rate ~1/7th that of DC and we have the best possible rating, A+, on crimegradedotorg) . The Wheaton Metro is a 12-minute walk. Union station is be a 22-minute ride away again. (Currently there's construction.) NIH is an 11-minute drive, and the 34 bus takes 13 minutes from the bus stop. UMD, NASA/GSFC, FDA, and CUA are also close.
The room has a minifridge, microwave, closet, desk, chair, and a queen-sized bed. The linens, mattress, and pillows were washed and/or sterilized with heat, pumped O3, and OH.
There's a 50-inch TV in the room that gets (i. e., you don't save by unsubscribing) about 33 local channels, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Disney+, Paramount+, Showtime, and the pre-paid subscriptions to the pictured networks, four of which (Peacock, Tubr, PlutoTV, and XumoPlay) also have hundreds of the live channels normally part of one's cable TV lineup. It's also castable (a required feature for the modern multitasker).
The room's temperature can be set to any number you want between 60F and 80F.
Because of the video, when it comes time for you to move out, you probably won't need to show your room to strangers. (That can be a headache elsewhere if you like your privacy.)
Access to common areas includes a gym, deck, hammock, grill, kitchen, movie room, dining room, and a guest room. In the kitchen you'd have a place for your unrefrigerated food (e. g., pasta, canned food, etc.). There's plenty of fridge and freezer space as well.
The kitchen is loaded with gadgets. It is also well-kept. For example, all of the dishes are sanitized according to the NSF/ANSI 184 protocol. If that means nothing to you google.
Our setup is mostly done from a tenant's perspective, so it's a more democratic atmosphere than normal, and existing tenants can prevent entry of any candidate they don't like. This allows you a lot of control if you stay long enough. Lease terms are technically only two weeks to minimize risk on on the tenant's side, but the average stay duration is closer to a year so you can sign the lease and basically stay as long as you want and get all of your security deposit on your last day without any issue or much notice.
If interested reach out --- we do reply to everyone and don't ghost, so if you don't get a response try another modality.
