Room + common house areas for rent in Catonsville

TL; DR Need someone to rent one of our semi-furnished bedrooms. $1,200 per month in Catonsville, right off of Frederick Rd. We're a queer married couple with two cats and we own our home. Virtual or in-person house tour available.

My wife and I are looking for a roommate to move in asap.

ABOUT THE HOUSE: Brick rowhome less than a mile from Main Street Catonsville (Paradise neighborhood). Close to public transportation. 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bath, semi-finished basement. Walls are mostly plaster or plaster over brick, so we don't hear much from our neighbors on either side of us at all. Street parking only but no permit needed.

ABOUT US: My wife is trans and I am non-binary. We are both in our mid-30s and work (her full-time, me part-time as I prepare to go to seminary). We both have pretty active social lives, though she definitely more than me. We throw parties three to four times a year: our birthdays, Christmas (if/when we feel like it), and the Oscars. Otherwise, we keep things chill and quiet.

We both love movies, television, podcasts, and books. We also like cooking, though we don't do nearly enough of it. My wife loves D&D, MTG, and video/tabletop games. The extent of my gaming is Pokopia, a couple of mobile games, and board games that can be explained to me in ten minutes or less. I'm a musician (piano, guitar) and my "studio" is right next to the bedroom. I don't play constantly or even consistently, so it should not be a bother for you (but also please let me know if it is!).

ABOUT OUR PETS: We have two cats, Burt (11M) and Dale (8M). They are absolute idiots and the light of our lives. The lore we have invented for them over the years runs deep and deeply stupid. They are very friendly and warm up to strangers pretty quickly. If you have a single cat yourself, we could be open to that, but no more than that and no other pets.

ABOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD: We love living here! We are about half a mile from the 695 exit for Frederick Road, so traveling anywhere by the beltway is incredibly convenient. There are tons of good restaurants and interesting shops. CCBC Catonsville is close by, as is UMBC. We have a Pride flag in our front yard (two during June) and it's never been a problem. Our neighbors mostly keep to themselves anyway. There is also an anti-Trump group that protests on the Catonsville bridge every Sunday from 12-1 PM, which is great. We've attended a couple of No Kings protests here also.

ABOUT YOU: We cannot and will not discriminate based on any legally protected class. Identifying as LGBTQIA+ is preferable, however. At a minimum, you must be accepting/an ally. We are open to both college students and professionals. If you can consistently make the rent every month, that's all we care about. Other than that, we're looking for someone who has read this entire lengthy description of us and our house and comes away believing they'll mesh well with us. We don't have to be friends or even hang out; if you want to keep to yourself, that's cool, too. Pay your rent on time, clean up after yourself, don't be an ah, and we'll be simpatico.

So basically, if you're looking to live with a couple of friendly and chill queer folks who like cats, nerd stuff, and various media in a nice, welcoming neighborhood, have I got great news for you.
