The room faces front of house, has its own private entrance and adjoining patio area, private bath, and gets lots of light. It's $1375/month, utilities are $200/month. Security deposit is $1300. It is currently unfurnished. Will consider couples on case by case basis.

This house is 2800 sq ft, and has 4 bedrooms w/4 baths. Beautiful garden with hot tub, veggies & fruiting trees, quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors, convenient location.

Utilities include high-speed wifi w/ethernet option & landline, solar, electric, gas, garbage, water. Landlords pay for gardening 1x/month. There's a chemical-free solar-powered hot tub in garden and that typically runs $50 every 2-3 months for maintenance. We may hire a quarterly housecleaner which is separate cost.

Some cool amenities are: furnished and well-stocked kitchen and living rooms, 6-burner Wolf stove, an outdoor gas grill (cooking here is fun!), beautiful fruit trees and permaculture garden (artichokes are just coming in as are nectarines). I'm planting brandywine tomatoes soon and there's a Fijoa tree (pinneaple-guava) that fruits in the fall. There are two living rooms here and a formal dining room. One of the living rooms we've set aside as a ritual space with an altar; it closes off with heavy noise-reducing curtains. Great for meditation or gentle yoga.

Garage & hallway cabinet storage available. Parking is plentiful on street. Room comes unfurnished but includes a new custom closet you might wanna keep (no built-in closet in room).

Currently no dog here but hoping to get one this year! We've had 2 small dogs live here so far and it's been fun. Landlords don't want big or really hairy dog here due to white carpet and light furniture, so have to consider that. Hypoallergenic cat might be doable on a case by case basis, as I have a cat allergy. Pet deposit is $250. Cleaning up after pet is full responsibility of owner.

The location is convenient here, we're off the San Pedro exit on 101. It's close to highway but you don't get much noise. Farmer's market is under a mile away on Sundays and is my happy place. I'm friends with the neighbors and we routinely have game nights & garden parties. Lots of hiking nearby and SF is about 25 minute drive. It's 20-25 minutes to Berkeley. 6 minutes to Whole Foods & downtown San Rafael.

A bit about me and current tenants: I've lived here 2.5 years and am the leaseholder. I'm 42 and moved here 3 years ago after 15 years in NYC to immerse in nature again (grew up in mountains) and start a new chapter. I work remotely for a wonderful start-up as a marketing director and am very busy with that. Do a lot of hiking, gardening, and am preparing for a summer of fun ( : The other housemate here just moved in and works as director of ops for a start-up. We're excited to host some garden parties & sound healing gatherings here this summer.
