Queer artist looking for roommate

I am a queer trans theatre artist living in this current apartment in Washington Heights for the past 5 years and I am looking for a new roommate after my previous roommates (couple) found a new place to move into themselves.

The apartment is gorgeous- 900sqf 2 bedroom, pre-war with high ceilings in a lovely area extremely close to both the 1 and the A subway lines, as well as several grocery stores and laundromats. The vacant room is ~126sqf with a closet, window with lots of natural light, and a radiator. It is a 4 floor walkup without an elevator, and there is no laundry in building, so unfortunately inaccessible to those with mobility disabilities.

Living room, kitchen, hallway, and bathroom are all shared and furnished- the vacant room is unfurnished. The bathroom has a clawfoot tub, kitchen has a gasrange stove and full dishwasher, and there is a TV in the living room available for use. Utilities are not included in the rent, but usually end up being anywhere from $70-100 for electricity, and then about $55 for internet (split evenly).

I also have two incredibly friendly cats who are a delight to be around, but will stay out of your room if that is your preference. Orzo will play fetch with you.

I do travel quite a bit for work, so likely there will be periods of time where you would have the apartment to yourself. Otherwise I am generally quiet, clean, and respectful. I like to make new connections and friends, am open and communicative, and looking forward to finding someone to live with who shares these qualities!
