Furnished Room w Rooftop Access and Washer/Dryer!

Furnished room available (female preferred, as am 1) for February 15th move in. Room can be viewed/toured beforehand; for short term and/or potentially long term stay. One month rent, one month deposit to move in, partial utilities included--

The Space:
Third floor unit in a lovely brownstone in Washington Heights, with private rooftop access and fully furnished rooms! This awesome, comfortable, and very tidy 3-bedroom apartment is home to two professionals— and interested in finding one other that is a great match!
- Washer/dryer available inside the unit.
- 4-7 minute walk away from either the A/ C, or 1 train at the 168th, 163rd, or 157th street stops, respectively. Multiple buses and Citi Bike dock locations within a block or two. Parking garage is also available steps away.
- Riverside Park is two blocks to the west and Highbridge Park two blocks to the east!
- 6 supermarkets are available within 3 blocks— in addition to Chase and TD Bank, Planet Fitness, restaurants, coffeeshops, and 24 hour deli’s.
- New York/Columbia Presbyterian Hospital is three blocks away and Yankee stadium is a 25 minute walk! A NY Public Library is two blocks away as well.
The area is truly convenient and a fun neighborhood to live in for someone with a busy and active lifestyle. Quick access to beautiful parks, transportation closeby, popular restaurants and sports bars; and running errands are a breeze. 20-40 minute commute downtown for the rest of the city.

Available Room comes fully furnished with a full bed w/ bedding, lamps, desk, desk chair & stool, blackout curtains, mirror, carpet, a large bookshelf and an exceptionally roomy tall dresser. The window faces south and therefore has tons of brilliant light during the day---but is quiet at night as it faces the backyards of surrounding brownstones and buildings. Private closet space also available in room.

The living room, kitchen and bathroom are fully furnished and are kept very tidy! I am looking for someone who is also mindful and clean--- and will add that this is non-negotiable. There are two sweet but very shy kitties that mostly stay in my bedroom but do roam about; please be aware of this if sadly you are allergic. (You will not be exposed to any kitty related duties, ie litter, etc) The rooftop is directly above since we are on the top level; entry is up a spiral staircase that is adjacent to the front door of the apartment. Wifi access extends to the roof, and I’ve furnished the area as well with tables, chairs, lighting, & outdoor umbrella and rugs. It’s a lovely space to get work done, enjoy coffee or a small bite, have a beverage with a friend and some music— or just enjoy some fresh air alone.

Are you new to the city and working full-time? Or maybe a visiting student with a crazy schedule who needs a comfy and cozy furnished room so that they can focus on their studies? Perhaps a minimalist traveling often for work but looks forward to peacefully cooking in a stocked kitchen when they return home? Are you vaxxed, non-discriminating, and cool with sweet doggies and kitties? Does a private rooftop in the city sound great to you? Welcome to Washington Heights! We are looking for a responsible and awesome roomie with a busy lifestyle to add to this comfortable home. We are friendly but also generally keep to ourselves, and occasionally have announced guests. All the basic rules apply :) Always pay rent on time, mindful and clean of shared spaces, communicate and be respectful of space and volume.

The space is available on February 15th--on a month-to-month basis, and most utilities are included. However, I do ask for a 3-month minimum staying time if interested in a longer term rental — during which we both see if we are a good match and if we feel good living together. If a 1 month's advance notice is given before leaving the space and there are No Damages, the security deposit of 1150 will be cheerfully refunded.
