Hello and thanks for checking out another post. I think you will be happy you did.
Let me start by saying that during covid, I think its important that home is a welcoming, happy, safe place. I like to be able to develop friendship with roommates, be able to share a meal, a laugh, good story over a couple beers once in a while not share a living space with strangers,. Communication lines should be open and vibes happy and pleasant. Its very important to respect privacy and personal time, but never feel like you cant knock on my door or send me a text..
I have 2 rooms with ridiculously great views of the George Washington bridge in my spacious bright 3br, 1.5 bath West Harlem Apt. Available October 1. Rent is $1200/1300 a month comes with AC for the summer. covers utilities.
- Both sunny rooms easily accommodates queen bed, desk and dresser. One is a little bigger and could fit a small couch.
-Sun drenched Large living room with 55" 4K HD TV, bose speakers, comfortable Electric leather recliner couch with usb ports for charging. Stationary bike, bow flex dumb bells, ab bench, resistance bands.
-Large and well stocked kitchen with dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster oven, ect...
-1.5 bathrooms( 2 toilets!)
-20 minutes to times square,1 block from city college, 20 blocks or 3 subway stops to Columbia University, 40 minutes to Williamsburg.
Some great things about the area and apartment:
-24 hour security
-Amazing views of midtown skyline and Hudson River. Seriously amazing views for what we pay.
-Laid back friendly Apartment environment, drama free.
-Large laundry room machines payable via app
-Fairway Market, Dry Cleaning, Duane Reade, C-Town, Diner, 24 hour deli that delivers, Dinosaur BBQ all within a block or two. Also many more fun and interesting restaurants and bars further up broadway.
-Zipcar is in the 24 hour parking lot behind the building.
-Riverside Park out back. ( I try to cycle and run a lot) ice skating rink in winter.
About me: Straight white male, 35 years old . Supporter of recreational & medical marijuana, Easy going & laid back, knicks, giants, yankees, rangers fan, working in the NYC hotel industry for 15 years (mixologist with some college). I've lived in the building for 10 years and it keeps getting better. I work nights and try to get out of town anytime I have a few extra days. Not a huge partier, but i do know how to enjoy a cocktail or two.
****Management is currently scheduling building wide window replacements and I'm scheduling painting and floors.
My two buddies and roommates are leaving due to covid, looking to be closer to family. BTW the pictures almost sell the apartment and views short. Connivence to 1 train, many delivery option, great cross breeze and 24 hour security is just a few of the reasons ill stay in one of the largest residential building in NYC, 3333 broadway has over 1000 apartments, people from every demographic and walk of life live here.
****You: A bit a bout yourself, a Facebook, IG or linkedin link would be great. Id prefer mid to late 20's early 30's and employed. All i ask is the rent is on time and you clean up after yourself, basic karma filled life skills.
No couples. 1 month rent and 1.5month security required.
Animals will be considered, may change security.
Also there is cat that i saved awhile back, more or less a tom cat that just likes to sleep in the sun. R2 is his name. I keep on his maintenance.
**blurb from last roommate.
"The apartment is beautiful, and it's the perfect place to live. Lots of personal space, with a nice view of the GWB in the room. I worked on 23rd street as an accountant and had a cozy 30 minute commute each morning. The apartment is spitting distance from the 1 train. The roommates are great and always make sure you're comfortable.
It's a shame I have to leave this place behind. The only reason I am, is because I switched offices to Hoboken, NJ. Otherwise, I wouldn't have given up this Harlem gem."
