We have lived on the fashionable Upper East Side of Manhattan for the past 28 yrs. The apt. is 1200 sq. feet with 2 bedrooms and private baths on the 22nd floor of a 35-story fire-proof building. Have 24 hr. doorman service, elevators, sound-proof windows, laundry in basement.

The master bedroom is 200 sq. feet, has a king-size bed which is 2 twins joined together. Private bath has shower & tub. Fully equipped kitchen with stove, Microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, utensils. Apt. has Spectrum hi-speed internet & cable TV.

This size apt. now rents for $7,600/mo. but ours is rent stabilized & rents for a lot less. We are senior citizens who still work (TV/theater & architecture) and have shared the apt. for several years. References from former tenants given upon request.

The East River is 2 blocks away & has a promenade which is great for jogging or biking. Carl Schurz Park and Gracie Mansion (the Mayor’s residence) are a few blocks north.

There are buses on the corner, subways within 10-15 min. walk to Q train at 2nd & 83 St. which connect with others on East & West sides; Lexington Ave. subways at 86 or 77 St.

I always interview applicants by 'phone before showing the apt. to make sure they are a fit. If they are, I will give my secure email so they can send their photo I. D., 3 references and proof of income. My current tenants tell me how much they enjoy living here almost daily!
