About the space

This apartment is a large two level duplex located in the mid 70's and 2nd Ave. in Manhattan, two blocks from the Q train and 5 blocks from the 6 train. Ten minute walk from Central Park.

The apartment offers a loft floor plan, with a huge open concept living room/kitchen. There is a 65? big screen TV in the main living room, granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen. Dishwasher & Washer/Dryer in unit. There are two bathrooms - a half bath on the main floor and a full bath on the upper floor. Cherry on top is the large outdoor terrace with all day sun exposure and mood lighting for evening hangouts (see photo).

The bedroom available is approximately 225 sq. feet and comfortably fits a king size bed and all associated furniture. Cable is available in the bedroom if you wish to install a TV. Air conditioning units are installed in the bedrooms and a large air conditioner is installed on the main floor which keeps the apartment nice and cool, even on 100 degree summer days.

The monthly rent includes ALL utilities ? cable (all premium channels included along with Netflix), internet, electric and gas.

About Me

I am a 33 year old male working in construction management/engineering in Manhattan. Originally from Michigan, I moved out to New York 10 years ago. I work normal hours Monday through Friday. I am fairly active in the evenings/weekends and enjoy working out at the gym, running in central park, social drinking with friends, card nights with friends at the apartment (bonus points if you play euchre or spades). I love sports, so expect football Saturdays either out at one of the many fine bars in the area, or at the apartment.
My friend and roommate is moving out to live with her boyfriend and I am looking to stay put in this apartment because it is such a rare find in a great neighborhood.

I am looking for a roommate (male or female) who is a responsible individual that enjoys being social while also respectful of other people?s space (as I will be mindful of yours).
