Hello!

I’m looking for someone to sublet the 2nd room in my apartment for $1900 before my new roommate moves in this summer. Ideally, I’m looking for someone to sublet the room for May and June. But I would consider a subletter for only one of those months, and it is possible the sublet could continue into the summer as my roommate’s move in date is flexible, so if necessary you could sublet from May until the end of July for example. I like respectful, easygoing, and fun roommates who work hard during the week and hang out on the weekends with friends. Please review the details below and message me if you're interested.

GENERAL APT & BUILDING INFO:
-apt is a 1BR converted to a 2BR on 20th floor of Windsor Court at 155 E 31st Street
-large fully furnished living room with amazing Northern view of the Chrysler Building and other buildings
-1.5 full bathrooms (you could have the half bathroom to yourself if you wanted, and we would share the full bathroom)
-beautiful modern fully furnished kitchen with dishwasher and view of Empire from kitchen
-two large closets in hallway and living room area for storage
-building is a luxury doorman building with 24/7 doorman & security
-laundry machines are on each floor, on our floor they are right next door to our apt
-Trader Joe’s is across the street
-many bars & restaurants nearby on 3rd Ave
-1 Avenue from the 6 train
-10 min walk from Grand Central, 20 min walk from Penn Station

YOUR ROOM INFO:
-available room is the one in the top left of the floor plan that is 13.5' x 11.6' and labeled DINING ROOM (see floor plan image)
-your room is a flex room but you have a true wall with a full floor to ceiling pressurized wall
-your room easily fits a queen bed, desk, dresser, other furniture and has a closet and a North facing window with a great view of the Chrysler Building as well as a West facing window with a great view of the Empire Building
-your room IS FULLY FURNISHED (you already have a bed, mattress, dresser, desk, desk chair, tv stand, TV)
-AC/heating unit in room
-great Wi-Fi in your room and entire apartment
-May 1 is preferred move in, negotiable term of moving in (a few days earlier or later could work)
-dog or cat is fine if they are chill and don’t shed too much

ABOUT ME AS YOUR ROOMMATE:
-I’m a 34-year-old male history teacher and bartender (bartending on hold due to COVID, teaching entirely remotely right now). I can make you drinks and teach you history while doing so.
-I’m fully vaccinated (got my 2nd shot in mid Feb).
-I’m clean, and expect you to be as well, especially during these times.
-I’m very outgoing and friendly.
-I like movies, tv shows, music, sports, board games, and finding fun things to do even during the pandemic.
-I’ve got a Nintendo 64 with 4 working controllers and all the major games. I also have an extra PS3 and several games for it if you wanna borrow it while you live here.

WHAT I’M LOOKING FOR IN A ROOMMATE:
-Someone who is respectful and helps clean the place
-Someone who is friendly and outgoing
-Someone who pays rent on time

WHAT ARE THE CATCHES?
-The building doesn’t allow subletters, so while you would have a key to the room and could get mail, friends would have to drop my name to the doorman to come up as you wouldn’t be on the lease, and we would be keeping our arrangement off the record from building. Because of this, you won’t be able to use the building’s gym (which costs $60 anyway and isn’t that great).
-Utilities aren’t included and are usually ~$100 a person per month. If this is a major deal breaker, we could talk about me covering utility costs partially or in full while you’re here.
-I’m not a good cook, I Seamless often or get pre-made stuff from Trader Joes.
-I’m a big liberal.
