Cozy, unfurnished room with private full bathroom!

Hi all!

My name is Nat and I’m eager to partner up with a kind, respectful, and clean mid-20/mid-30’s roommate to take over a one-year lease on July 15. $1,700 per month. Location: 119th St and Morningside Ave; the unit is literally steps from Morningside Park!

The apartment: Two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, so you will have your own bathroom! The available room has a nice view of the tree-lined street and can fit a full-size bed and small desk. There is a good-sized closet as well. Additional storage space could likely be put in the hallway leading to the bedroom. The bedrooms are at the front and back of the apartment, with the living/dining area separating them, so we would essentially each have our own private “wing” of the house. Laundry in the basement, as well as free bike storage and an additional storage locker (also free of charge). The building pays for heat and gas, so we will only be required to cover electricity and internet!

The area: West Harlem/Morningside Heights is a fun and safe area with tons of tree-lined streets and charming pre-war buildings. The apartment is a quick 8-9 minute walk to the 116th Street station on the C/B lines, or a 10-12 minute walk to the A/B/C/D lines on 125th Street. M125 bus and M60-SBS bus (to LaGuardia Airport) are a 10-12 minute walk as well. There are a ton of cool shops and restaurants, as well as a Lidl grocery store 1.5 blocks away. This area is a great fit for Columbia or CUNY grad students/PhDs/postdocs in addition to working professionals!

About Me: I’m 30 and currently working at Columbia. I’ve lived with roommates since college and, as mentioned, am looking for somebody kind, respectful, and clean to share this space. I’ve become great friends with some of my previous roommates, but I totally understand if people prefer to keep to themselves; I’m happy to respect what works best for you! I tend to prefer if the party stays outside the home, but I’m open to friends coming over for small gatherings and even partners staying for up to a week at a time, as long as things are discussed between us first. I’m queer, so a potential roommate should either be LGBTQ+ or an ally.

Unfortunately, no pets. No couples.
