Welcome to one of the most sought-after blocks in Lower Manhattan - Rivington Street, right between Ludlow and Orchard, in the heart of the Lower East Side. This is a classic New York apartment with real character: pre-war charm, hardwood floors throughout, roof access, and brand new appliances. High-speed internet is included.

The private room is large and furnished, with a queen bed, a big window that brings in great light, and closet space. The apartment has three bedrooms and one shared bathroom. It's a walk-up building - no elevator -so you'll want to be comfortable with stairs.

The rent is $1,750/month. Move-in requires first month's rent plus one month's security deposit. The room is available May 1st or sooner, and I'm open to either a short-term arrangement (3 months) or something longer term (6 months+).

I'm a gay professional in my 30s - friendly, laid-back, and tidy. I grew up between Upstate New York and California and have done a lot of traveling, so the apartment reflects an appreciation for good taste, good food, and good conversation. I work a regular professional schedule and keep a calm, quiet household. I genuinely enjoy cooking and take pride in a clean, well-kept shared space.

WHAT TO EXPECT LIVING HERE
This is a peaceful, respectful home. You'll have your own private room and share the bathroom and common areas. I'm around but not in your face — I value my own space and yours. The neighborhood is incredibly lively with restaurants, bars, cafes, and culture right outside the door, but inside it stays calm and professional.

WHO I'M LOOKING FOR
The ideal roommate is a full-time working professional, ideally on a 9-to-6 type schedule. Working from home occasionally is totally fine, just not every day of the week. I'm looking for a male roommate who is clean, considerate, and looking for a stable, drama-free living situation, whether short or long term.

This isn't the right fit if you have pets (I have allergies), a partner who would be staying over regularly, or if you keep late nights and host frequently. I ask that all guests be communicated in advance -no surprises.
