⭐ $1150/month or BEST offer (“best” in terms of both rent and duration) - hoping for someone to stay until end of Sept. 2021, or mid-July, but not obligatory. Opportunity to take over lease at that time (or possibly sooner), at which point you can take over my room, which is LARGER, and control subletting of the additional rooms (landlord has no problem with this).

Are you awesome and in need of a new place to live?! If yes, we may be a perfect match, as I am looking for a roommate who is super responsible and has a track record of reliability! (Forgive my photo quality - I'm not a professional photographer, and my iPhone is one of the older models!)

🏠 ABOUT THE APARTMENT: Second floor of a walk-up. Back of the building, so quiet. Spacious, fully furnished kitchen, common area, and bathroom. Tall ceilings. Ceiling fans in all rooms. If you're creative, you're welcome to bring your flair (and furniture) to redecorating common areas!

🛌🏻 Just a head's up, the photos show my former roommate's furniture (full bed) because I think it's a better reflection of what the room looks like. I love my current roommate who is moving out, but I'm not a fan of her furniture and room set-up. You're welcome to keep her furniture or take the room unfurnished. It has a loft twin bed (but can fit up to a queen), desk, and office chair. Available beginning March 1.

If you have a better eye for aesthetics than me, you're welcome to redecorate common areas, and I'm open your furniture!

💡 Utilities: usually additional $60/month (approximately) depending on the season. Includes Wifi and electricity (and heat in the winter); no cable TV or a landline.

If you love the place, then provide me with first month's rent and a security deposit, and I will hold the room exclusively for you!

No fancy doorman, but the owners of the restaurant next to the building have frequently helped me look out for packages, as well as to tell stories about the old Italian neighborhood. Sorry, but the landlord says no pets, parties, smoking (of any kind), or illegal drugs!

📧📞 If you are interested in viewing the apartment, please contact me and tell me a little about yourself, including the best way and time to contact you.

🏢 ABOUT THE BUILDING: Very walkable area and conveniently located near many subway lines, numerous dining options for all price points and occasions, bars, shopping, Duane Reade, and laundromats. Library is 4 blocks away. 15 min walk to NYU. Extremely safe neighborhood. Security cameras at the entrance of building and in hallways.

👩🏻‍🤝‍🧑🏻 ABOUT ME & HOPEFULLY YOU: I am a socially conscious teacher (female) in my early 30s. Before that, I lived in France and studied linguistics and psychology in undergrad. I love to drink tea, educate the youth, and travel! My other roommate is a non-binary student in his 30s, and he is studying photonics. We are LGBTQ-friendly and practice COVID safety! (Actually, I will be fully vaccinated by the middle of February!)

😊🧹☮ We would love to have roommates with whom we can be friends and hang out, but if that doesn't transpire, we won't force it! Together, let's keep our home clean (a little clutter is ok; but no thank you to dirty, unhygienic conditions!); be responsible and considerate; and treat each other respectfully. Let's take initiative when it comes to taking care of our household. We'll communicate openly and practice a conflict management philosophy of de-escalation. Positivity is a plus! (But sometimes, we just need to chill in our own little bubbles.)
