April sublet in Kips Bay Court luxury bldg

What you need to know:

I'm looking to sublet my room for the month of April. You will be living with three other roommates (Dave, Pat, and Corey) who are all young professionals in their mid-late 20's. Your personality and lifestyle should mesh well with theirs, meaning that you should also be young male professional in your 20's, and have a "work hard, play hard" sort of attitude when it comes to going out and partying on weekends. Weeknights are usually quiet in the apartment since everyone works, although you'll typically find people hanging out in the common living room area watching tv during the evenings. Weekend nights will be later, since we all like to have fun and unwind from the week, and since we have an awesome space there will often be people over, as well.

Cost per month is $1650, which covers the following: rent, utilities, FiOS, renter's insurance, and a monthly cleaning service. That price is somewhat negotiable because of the short notice, but if you're able to cover the full amount that obviously makes you a much stronger candidate for the sublet.

You will be living in my room, which is already furnished (as the rest of the apartment) with a queen-sized Sealy PosturPedic bed (with sheets, pillows, comforter) and dresser, and there's also a heater and large window in the room facing out with a view of the Chrysler building (nicest view in the apartment, if I may say so!). The apartment itself is a 3br flexed into 4br, and my room is the flex room, off of the living room, but it does not feel like a flex room at all. It's got permanent walls, and heating and a window as already mentioned. In addition to your room, you also have a full closet in the main hallway to yourself, with tons of hanging space and a shelf above for whatever other things you bring along.

As for the rest of the apartment, we have all new kitchen appliances and fixtures in the bathrooms (two full: one bath, one shower). There's also a porch with plenty of room for a small group to hang out (and if you smoke cigarettes, that's done outside on the porch, as well). The living room area has two couches and a recliner, and we've got a Nintendo 64 hooked up to the brand new 55" flatscreen. There's also a dining table and seating for everyone (4) if you want to have meals together. The apartment is in a luxury building (Kips Bay Court), and you'll have 24-hour doorman service downstairs and two elevators at your disposal. Located on the east side of 2nd avenue and 27th Street, you're two blocks away from the subway, and there's a Duane Reade across the street, as well as a Fairway a few blocks uptown on 2nd ave.
