Lease TakeOver in Inwood/Uptown Manhattan

I’m looking for someone to take over my roommate’s part of the lease starting April 1, 2026 in Inwood. I have been living in this apartment for 3 years and love it!

Rent: $975 + utilities (usually around $100-$150, this is wifi+electricity together)
*Deposit + first month’s rent + $20 application fee will be due at signing* ($1,970)
3rd floor walk up.
Must like cats (I have one!)
Room fits twin sized bed
Smoke-free apartment
Preferably a woman

It’s a 2BR
Your room fits a twin sized bed - the room will come unfurnished (my roomate is selling her room’s furniture so if your application is approved, that’s totally an option!). It doesn’t have a closet but there is one in the living room we can totally split (I only have my coats in that closet tbh so it’ll be mostly yours. I’m happy to arrange and/or re-arrange things to make the move as easy as possible for you!)
Shared living room/kitchen
We also have a washer/dryer IN the unit which is amazing.

Notes:
*My roommate might take some of the furniture when she leaves, but I’ll know more closer to the date
*I have a very mellow, chill cat (and I LOVE animals) but we can’t have more pets in the apartment

Building requirements:
– Income 40× rent (You must make around $39k/year for your $975 portion. Total apartment rent is $2,025, so combined income needs to be about $81k)
– 650+ credit
– Employed
– NY state guarantors accepted

About me: I’m 30, I’m a HR System Analyst, and I’m mostly a homebody but very active and usually gone to run or the gym. I WFH two days a week, keep the place pretty clean, and I’m chill/respectful of people’s space. And again - you gotta like cats because my guy lives here too. 😭
