Flex Bedroom with Shared Washroom

Hi! I’m looking for a roommate for the flex room in a beautiful apartment in Midtown West, on W 45th Street and 11th Ave.

Move-in date: August 10, 2026
I’m a little flexible if someone needs to move in slightly earlier.

The apartment is originally a 2 bed / 2 bath, but we’ll be flexing the living room to make it a 3 bed / 2 bath. The flex room will be around 8 ft x 10 ft, with 10 ft high ceilings and a window. My friend checked the dimensions, and it can comfortably fit a full-size bed, dresser, and desk.

The wall will be a full-size pressurized wall with plexiglass on top, and the estimated cost for the wall is around $600 per person.

Rent for the flex room:
$1,946 net / $2,225 gross
13-month lease

The building has great amenities, including a gym, hot tub, elevator, package room, media room, rooftop deck, in-unit washer/dryer, plus no amenity fee for the first year and free Wi-Fi.

A little about me: My name is Sheetal Sood, I’m 26, and I’m currently pursuing my master’s in Data Science at NYU. This will be my second year living in NYC. I’d be happy to be friends with my roommates if we naturally get along, but I’m also completely okay with having a respectful and cordial roommate relationship.

In terms of roommates, I’m looking for people who are clean, quiet, hygienic, respectful of personal space, and good with communication. I’d really like the apartment to feel calm, comfortable, and clean for everyone. I’d prefer someone who does not smoke inside, does not bring the party home, and is mindful about shared spaces.

I already have someone finalized for the master bedroom. She is 28, works at Deloitte, and her sister may stay with her until December at the latest, though she may leave earlier. While her sister is staying, utilities will be split by four.

One thing I also wanted to mention: my mom may come to drop me off and stay with me for the initial 2–3 weeks. If it extends to 4 weeks, I’ll inform everyone in advance. My friends may also visit from another city once every month or two, usually for about a week.

I’d also like to discuss whether future subletting would be okay. If that ever happens, I’d make sure the subletter is a girl, have her get on a call with everyone first, and only move forward if everyone is comfortable.
