The Webster Apartments is a women?s only dorm-style housing alternative to cramped studios and multi-tenant apartments that are often the first stop on the move to New York City.
Webster is a 13-story brick building with 375 single rooms. Check-in dates available starting Monday, August 7, 2017.
Amenities:

Room and board rates include 2 meals per day in our Dining Room, all utilities (electric, heat, water), a basic dorm-style furnished room (twin bed with linens, desk, dresser, closet, desk with chair, area rug), Wi-Fi in your room and throughout the building, laundry facilities (laundry cost is not included), 24-hour security in the building, microwaves, and a variety of social, professional and fitness events.
? Located on 34th street in Midtown West, the Webster offers its guests a cross section of New York, from tourist hot spots to low-key neighborhood shops. Just blocks from all major subway lines, the Webster serves as the front gate to New York for recent transplants, wherever they work or want to explore.
? No lengthy lease agreement! Once approved, you can stay for a minimum of 4 weeks and up to 5 years (pending you continue to meet our eligibility requirements)! Only 8 weeks? notice required prior to departure to avoid a fee!
Eligibility:
? Guests must meet one of the below requirements to apply and remain eligible for residency:
o Worker: Working a full-time job, a minimum of 35 hours per week, earning an annual GROSS income between $30,000 ? $85,000 (USD).
o Interns & Fellows: Minimum commitment of 28 hours per week in internship or fellowship program
? Eligible applicants are required to stay a minimum of 4 weeks. This initial 4 week balance must be paid 2 weeks prior to the confirmed check-in date
Applying: To apply, applicants must provide eligibility verification prior to completing the application form, government identification and the non-refundable processing fee.
? The intern fee is $250
? The $275 worker fee includes a tenant screening report ? applicants will be deemed ineligible should their record include bankruptcy, evictions and/or collections
Room & board rates vary based on the individual?s status.
? Worker rates are determined based on a sliding scale dependent on the individual?s verified GROSS annual income. Rates average between $560 ? $900 bi-weekly (14 nights).
? Interns who are unpaid or receive a small compensation pay the flat bi-weekly (14 nights) rate $760. Interns receiving substantial compensation are charged based according to the sliding scale noted above*.
