I am a full-time employee working from 9 to 5, seeking to rent a room in my three-bedroom apartment for a duration of six months to one year.

I am in search of a responsible, private, and low-key individual with full-time employment. Hybrid work schedules are acceptable. I prefer someone who is kind and focused, simply looking for a safe, clean, and peaceful environment to return to after a long day. Ideally, this person would bring no drama, pay rent on time, and engage in occasional hallway conversations about our week.

The apartment is quiet and cozy, as I typically spend my time in my room working or relaxing after returning from work. Additionally, I engage in some volunteer work on weekends, making the house quite peaceful during that time.

The room is furnished with a full-size bedroom set, which includes a large dresser with a mirror, a side table, a wardrobe, and a brand new 50-inch flat-screen TV (thanks to Black Friday, haha). It features new hardwood floors, two windows, and a wardrobe for extra storage.

You are welcome to use the kitchen, which is equipped with a gas stove, microwave, air fryer, pots and pans, as well as plenty of cutlery and other kitchen essentials.

The bathroom is shared and includes an LED medicine cabinet, outlets, a bathtub, and a shower.

The building has an elevator and 24-hour access to washers and dryers in the basement for your convenience.

I will take on most of the cleaning responsibilities but kindly request your assistance with cleaning supplies and that you clean up after yourself.

I am open to renting to full-time students who are employed, particularly those attending Columbia University or City College, as both institutions are just minutes away from the apartment.

The rent is $1000 per month, which includes utilities. The first month’s rent and half of the second month’s rent are required upfront for move-in.

The ideal candidate will be an individual capable of relocating with minimal furniture. The room is already furnished, and I am open to supplying any extra new furniture pieces if reasonable.

Additionally, I will require three recent pay stubs, copy of your state ID along with your weekly work schedule, including your days off for move in.
