Harlem furnished bedroom with private bath and free washer/dryer!

Our apartment comprises the bottom two floors of a four-story Harlem brownstone, with a back garden where I grow watermelons and cucumbers and our English bulldog, Flora, sunbathes and chases the occasional tennis ball.

Our block (home to no fewer than SEVEN storefront churches) is friendly and pretty quiet. But walk to the Lenox Avenue end of it and you’re in the bustling heart of Central Harlem, with its legendary jazz venues, food stalls, street performers, restaurants, and galleries. Four blocks south, you’ll find the historic Apollo theatre, hundreds of shops and attractions, and easy access to public transportation. No matter what else you plan to do in New York, Harlem is a great neighborhood to come home to :)

I’m a journalist with a 15-year-old daughter, a 12-year-old son, and a very friendly English bulldog, Flora.
