Hi all,

Looking for a roommate to stay for 3 months - Dec 15 or Jan 1 through end of March. No security deposit.

One bedroom in a two bedroom/one bath in Harlem available. Here are a few things about the space and some of my ideal roommate qualities!

- female or gay male
- no smokers of any kind (I have asthma)
- no couples
- must be clean and willing to take turns with cleaning common space/bathroom, cleaning up after yourself, taking out trash, and pitching in on communal supplies. I am always the one who cleans and I need a roommate willing to switch off and contribute. This is very important to me!
- must be comfortable with two cats in the home and all that entails with litter etc. (occasional help with them when I travel would be great, otherwise a cat sitter/overnight sitter will be in to watch them)
- rent is $1,351 (for the perfect fit I could do a bit of a discounted rate, where I will cover the extra. Prefer someone who is ok with the full amount but I can be somewhat flexible) plus utilities that run about roughly $1-200 a month each depending on the time of year.
- I do keep the house cool because heat aggravates my asthma and headaches, so the common areas will always be a bit cooler. Hopefully you like it like that too! I own lots and lots of blankets to cozy up with!! With the animals I also tend to keep it cooler in summer months to make sure they aren’t overheated as well.
- best suited for a minimalist as there is not much storage in the common areas and fully stocked kitchen. ie: bookshelf, entertainment unit, kitchen cabinets. The bedroom, bathroom and hall closet have plenty of space!!!
- the space is furnished with just a bed currently. Huge closet space!!
- roku smart tv in the living room with all the apps!! I would love a roommate to binge watch something together.
- washer dryer in unit!! Yay! Plus a drying rack and steamer.
- no Trump supporters. Sorry, it’s a hard no.
- express 3 train at the end of the block (30 min to Times Square), ACBD train 5 minutes away
- open to other pets. My cats do well with dogs that are on the calmer side, and have never been around other cats. But willing to try it out!
- friends/family visiting are welcome, but would prefer any significant others do not spend the night unless it’s something we discuss ahead of time. I give that same curtesy to my roommate and rarely have overnight guests. Mutual respect is important to me. I don’t like the house being the “party/pre game” house, but a dinner party every once in a while is always fun!!

A little about me: I am 34…Have been in nyc for almost 9 years and this apt for almost 6. Fantastic neighborhood that is safe and family oriented. The neighbors are all awesome and are here for anything we need! I’m originally from IL and have lived with roommates since I was 18. I work near grand central and am in the office Mon-Thurs and work remote on Fridays. Typical 9-6 schedule. I have five nieces and nephews that I FaceTime with a lot! They are the best! Love to read and watch tv, which you can find me doing most nights when I get home from work. I also love trying new restaurants, going to Broadway shows, and hanging out with friends and visiting family. I tend to be a homebody though and like relaxing at the end of the day. My home is definitely my quiet space/sanctuary to come home and relax in. My kittens are the sweetest and love to cuddle! They have free rein of the house and would love any attention you want to give!!
