An Associated Supermarket is located only 3 streets south of this three bedroom apartment share on 132nd Street and there are many convenience stores/delis all around the apartment for your last minute items. Here are some places around the neighborhood that you might want to check out:
- St. Nicholas Park : this wide park just a few steps away features basketball and handball courts, playgrounds, a dog park and barbecues areas. Don't miss the outdoor movies on Monday nights, projected from a hill on 135th street.
- City College of New York : on the other side of the park are the landmark neo-Gothic buildings of the campus are on a hill overlooking Harlem.
- Riverbank State Park: rising about 70 feet (about 20m) above the Hudson River, this park located 0.8 miles (1.2 km) offers countless amenities and activities to make your visit fun and enjoyable including: an Olympic-size pool, a covered skating rink for roller skating in the summer and ice-skating in the winter, a fitness center, basketball courts, to name only a few. If you don't want to play sport but simply relax, the park also boasts spectacular views of the Hudson River and the George Washington Bridge that you can admire while having a picnic there!

If you need to commute to other parts of New York City, you can take the B or C lines at the 135 Street / Saint Nicholas Avenue subway station. They run to lower Manhattan via the west side and all the way to Brooklyn. 3 avenues east is the 135 Street / Lenox Avenue station, served by lines 2 and 3 that will take you to Central Park in only 3 stops, and Times Square in 6 stops.
