Apartment & Area
The apartment is a 4 minute walk from 137 St-City College Train Station. Laundromats all around the block, deli on the corner, Supermarket 3 min walk away, 10 minutes away via bus or train from Columbia University. The neighborhood has a great buzz, with many restaurants and bars all around. Also just 10 minutes walking distance from Riverside Park.
The apartment is the entire floor of an 150 years old brownstone. It is spacious with the rooms on the opposite sides of the floor, and with a living room space and a kitchen area between.
There is one shared bathroom, no laundry in the building but multiple around and there is no elevator but the apartment is only 2 flight s up. The building is 3 floors so there are only 3 apartments with friendly neighbors.

Room
The room I am renting out has a closet, 1 big window and enough space for a desk, a bookcase and fits a queen size bed but ideally full size to have enough space. It comes with a full size sofa that opens to a bed. Flexible to potentially moving the sofa to the living room even though I would rather not and just keep it this way.

• Sublease month to month, or up to 5 months(with an option to extend if we get along well)

• rent $1200 + wifi
•security deposit of $1200 is mandatory

• Super close to 137th street 1 train stop
• 10 min walk to 135th C, B train stop
• 15 min walk to 145th A (express) C, B, D train stop
• Lots of parks near by (st nicholas park, riverbank park, morning side park & the hudson greenway).

Me
I have a full time job, mostly early mornings. In my free time, I do aerial arts, watch movies, documentaries, bike, read or go out. I am generally chill, dont bring the party home, and I am studying interior design remotely. I bring visitors home sometimes to hang and i have a boyfriend but I do like to communicate visitors prior just by text. 420 and queer friendly.
Getting along and maybe finding some similarities in our lifestyle is key for me. I would prefer a roommate without a pet because I have a cat already , so also someone that is not allergic to cats.
Regarding the apartment rules all common space areas must remain clean and get cleaned with a shared schedule, my sensitive spot is the kitchen sink which I don’t want with dirty dishes at no times, especially overnight.
I'm a respectful, clean & organized person. I put effort into creating a peaceful, cozy welcoming home & safe space . Must have stable income (proof required) and references. 1st month & security required.
