One bedroom available in a three-bedroom apartment, to share with one other roommate (the extra room is kept as a dining/guest room). I am looking to secure a roommate for a long-term rent-stabilized lease takeover for my current roommate who is moving out. The building management will require an application and you’ll be required to demonstrate that you make 40x your portion of rent per year, and have a good credit score.

Heat and hot water are included. Electric ranges between 50-150 per person depending on the time of year. Internet is about 40 per person.

The vibe: This apartment is a quiet nook in an otherwise bustling neighborhood, boasting waterfront parks, cool restaurants and cozy coffee shops. There’s an extra room for storage and dining too.

The apartment will come entirely furnished, with the option to have a queen-sized bed in your future room. Kitchen also comes fully stocked with what you’ll need (minus the food)!

Please note that Oscar, my sweet long-haired Persian mix kitty, is the mayor. He loves to be pet. I do all the maintenance for him, but I might ask you to give him a can of food sometimes.

About me: I am an early-30’s government employee who works in the office 5 days per week, 9 am - 5 pm. I have many hobbies including rock climbing, video gaming, working out, music, reading, art, and hiking. I meal prep a couple nights per week. I also travel two weekends per month, and my partner comes to stay at the apartment the other two weekends. I have lived in this neighborhood for over three years and couldn’t be happier. I love the vibrancy, setting, restaurants, and easy city access that you get living uptown. I tend to live by a strict sleep schedule (asleep by 10 most nights!) and place a lot of value in a peaceful home life. My ideal roommate will also enjoy a quiet home life, and not be a smoker.

As a roommate, I value open communication. I have had many roommates, some of whom were great friends, and some of whom were strictly roomies, but I have found that the key to a harmonious home life is to have good communication.
