I have a large room measuring 11.5' x 16', about 178 sq. ft., in my apartment to share with the right person. This is a one bedroom converted into a two, so there isn't a ton of common space. But, you will have a room the size of a studio apartment--this is attested to by two of my previous roommates :-) Monthly rent is $1,300 with $50 for electricity if you choose to use A/C during the summer.

I usually spend at least 2 nights away from home each week, sometimes more, so looking for someone trustworthy and mature.

Dishwasher, microwave and many appliances, including Vitamix, juicer and kitchen-aid stand mixer. Laundry in building. Two and a half blocks away from subway. Across the street from Riverside Park and Riverbank State Park. Apartment is available on October 15th on a month-to-month basis. As long as we're both happy, you can stay as long as you like. Also, if you're just looking for short time, please know that I prefer at least a 3 month stay. Looking for a female roommate, as the bathroom is shared. Female, no couples.

The room comes furnished, with enough space to space to bring some of your own things if you wish. Please respond with a bit of information about yourself - who are you, what do you do, what are your interests, etc. And, to be fair, here's a bit about me: I'm a female, recently completed a graduate program, am in between jobs, but hopefully not for too long. Interests include music, art, literature, climate change, sustainability, and rights for all living beings on the planet.
