The room is in a historic district (South Village), convenient to all subways and busses. The building is well-maintained by the landlord. My apartment has two (real) separate bedrooms in walk up building with a shared living room, kitchen and bathroom.
INCLUDED in the $1550 rent is a weekly housekeeper, the roommate has NO utility or other bills to pay. I am generally a quiet type but like to have a friendly roommate. Guest policy is to be discussed. I mostly work from home in my bedroom/study. I don't cook much, but my roommate has free access to the kitchen. I like to keep the shared spaces clean (i. e. no dishes left in the sink for long periods), prefer a responsible and respectful person, and if you are a student, I prefer a grad student. I want an "adult" roommate who has their financial stuff together and pays rent on time. No "live-in" significant others, I am the primary leaseholder, and you are the subtenant. I have lived in this building for nearly 20 years, many of the apartments are very expensive. Vestibule and building lighting have been upgraded. Great location! The room for rent was designed by an architect roommate.
