Room in luxury doorman building w/ gym and rooftop

Hi! My roommate is moving out October 31, and I am looking for someone to take his room in this luxury doorman building in the Financial District of New York City!

About the space:
The room can come furnished with a bed, desk and shelves for a small fee (my roommate is open to selling it to the new tenant for cheap) or unfurnished. It’s not the largest room but it has a big and bright full-length window, super high ceilings, a large closet with built in shelves, and a small private storage area. It easily can fit a queen size bed, desk and dresser.

The apartment also has a kitchen (super nice and modern - built in microwave, marble counters, and most importantly A DISHWASHER!!!!), small living room area (there’s a couch and TV), and bathroom (all marble, really nice new shower head) which we will share. There’s also a WASHER AND DRYER in the apartment which is a huge plus! The apartment is pretty new so everything is really nice quality throughout.

I already signed the lease so I am looking for someone to sublet the second room. You will not have to sign a lease with a landlord but I would like whoever moves in to sign a sublet agreement with me, preferably for one year - but I am open to something shorter depending on the situation.

The rent is $2,500 a month plus wifi and utilities. Usually wifi and utilities together are around $100 but it changes monthly! The deposit is one month’s rent. It is available starting November 1.

About the building:
The building has a 24-hour doorman/concierge (super safe), 24-hour handymen that can come fix anything in a heartbeat, a gym, a beautiful rooftop terrace with lounge chairs and a BBQ that was just redone (really nice to sunbathe during the summer lol), a lounge with computers available, and a package room.

About the location:
The apartment is located in Fidi, right near the bottom of the city. It’s just a few blocks from the water which is nice, and it’s close to so many subways stations! The 2,3 train is just two blocks away, and the 4,5, R, W, J are all within 5 mins. The A, C, E and 1 trains are also nearby but they’re a little bit farther.

It’s also a 10 min walk to One World Trade which has the Path train if needed. There’s of course tons of restaurants and stores nearby - overall it’s a great and lively area, but also quiet in the evenings which is nice.

About me:
I am a 32-year-old female, working as an editor at a top online news site. I’ve lived here for five years and I absolutely love it. I am originally from upstate New York and previously lived in Soho before this.
