Looking for a great roommate to share a 2-bedroom apartment in the heart of the East Village.

The available bedroom is bright and street-facing, with three windows and lots of natural light. The apartment has a shared living room, kitchen and one bathroom. The living room is currently unfurnished/no sofa, so there’s some flexibility to make the common space feel like home.

Location

The apartment is in a fantastic East Village location, surrounded by restaurants, bars, coffee shops, gyms and everything else that makes the neighborhood fun to live in.

It's less than a 5-minute walk to:

- Astor Place – 6 train
- 8th Street – N/R trains
- NYU and Cooper Union

The neighborhood is lively, especially Thursday through Saturday, while the apartment itself is intended to be a comfortable home rather than a party apartment.

Roommate vibe

Looking for someone who is friendly, independent, responsible and easy to live with. Ideally, you enjoy living in a social neighborhood and occasionally grabbing a drink or dinner, while also respecting each other's space and keeping the shared areas clean.

Professionals, graduate students, medical residents/fellows, visiting academics and others with a stable schedule are all welcome.

The best fit will be someone who:

- Keeps common spaces reasonably clean
- Pays rent and bills reliably
- Communicates directly if something comes up
- Is considerate about noise, guests and shared spaces
- Wants a friendly roommate-relationship rather than two strangers silently occupying adjacent rooms

• Verification of most recent 6 months' rent payments (canceled checks or bank statements)
