Large Furnished Room in Amazing East Village Apt.

The apartment is among the best available in the lively East Village. Its a second-floor walk up with a large kitchen, spacious living room, large back deck with bbq, wi-fi internet, record player, pressed-tin ceilings, amazing roof access, etc. It has a lot of character; very homey but spacious feeling with high ceilings, lots of artwork, plants, wood floors, exposed brick, etc.

The access to grocery stores, laundry, restaurants, bars, theaters, liquor store, cinema, Tompkins Square Park, the East River, etc, is pretty unbeatable. In general, the room, location, and size of the apartment make it a pretty desirable package. It is close to both the F train (2nd Avenue), the L Train (1st Avenue) and the 6 Train (Astor Place).

The spacious furnished room is quiet, separated from the other two rooms and has high ceilings.

The $2000 will include rent, the utilities, internet and a professional monthly cleaning of the apartment. Our ideal roommate is a chill, responsible, respectful professional. There are times when we are social, cook dinner together, etc, and times when we do our own thing. It's likely that anyone living with us will meet a lot of new and interesting people.

The apartment has been occupied primarily by a male photographer/founder for many years. I am busy, but social, respectful, clean, often out at night, cook frequently and am traveling or upstate a lot. The house has a warm, inviting feel and we are looking for someone good to share it with!

The apartment is neat and clean and inviting. It's a great space for entertaining and we occasionally have impromptu bbqs, dinner parties and a couple of large parties per year. But depending on your schedule, much of the time, you will likely feel like you have the whole space to yourself.

The agreement will be month to month (with a 2-month minimum) and the possibility of something more stable and long term. One month's deposit will be required up front and rent is paid by on the 1st of every month.

The ideal candidate is clean, chill, respectful and a team player that does not work from home full time. We sometimes rent the third bedroom out to short term guests (who are generally interesting and a value-add) so they must be okay with having some flow in the apartment. The environment is neither static nor stagnant.
