Spare Room; East Harlem; 6-month+; $1100

Hello!

I’m Currently looking for a roommate, willing to share this 2-bedroom/1-bathroom; third-floor walk-up, brownstone apartment, in Central Harlem.
I am very motivated to begin interviews, immediately.

The apartment is located near the corner of 132nd & Fifth Ave.
It’s near the 2/3 station, at 135th street.
The 4/5/6, at 125th street, is also accessible; just a little farther away.

This is for one bedroom, of a 2-bedroom / 1 bathroom apartment, on the third floor.

The rent for the available bedroom, is $1100/month.

The room, itself, is unfurnished, and is a little over 7'x14'. It has a private closet, and full use of another closet in the hallway. (Yep. TWO closets!!)

If interested, you would need to pass a credit-check, and, possibly, a screening through the landlord. $50, max, by law.
Pending approval; you would only need the first month's rent, and security deposit, to move in; $2200, total.
You would be taking over the lease, from my former roommate, with 6-months remaining.
If things work out, well; we could sign a new lease, together, this May.

The move-in date is ASAP, but flexible: November 15th, or December 1st.

The utilities: electric, gas, internet; are usually around $115/month, each.

The living room/common area is really quite spacious. The pictures, do not show the whole space, and I have rearranged the space, since they were taken.
You’ve just gotta’ see it, to believe it!
It’s already, well-furnished; but, I could make room, if you have furniture, to bring.

I’m a 42 year old guy, who has been living in New York City, for 18 years; and, in this apartment, for four trips, around the sun.
Both, my grandfathers, and my parents, were born here; I’m not a native, but, I’m a new, New Yorker.

As a Local One stagehand, and professional carpenter, I have designed and constructed several "structures" inside this apartment; mostly, to increase counter-space, and maximize storage capabilities.
Just wait, until you see it; to most, it’s mind-blowing.
No Screws, in the walls!! 🤯

However…
I’ll be straight-forward… I’m not the easiest, to live with.
So, I’m looking to find the right roommate. Someone capable, of dealing with unbridled creativity; beset, by minor, mental-health issues.

I would also like to mention that I have, nearly, any instrument that you would want to play, and would be very open to living with someone else blessed with musical talents (noise restrictions, to be discussed.)
I even have an idea, to build a loft, above a recording booth; if that’s what you’re looking for!

Musicians, up front!!!
Skateboarders, Longboarders, and bicyclists are also, very welcomed!

LGBTQIA+ is a must. 😶‍🌫️
No tobacco smoke, inside.
No public roof access.

Finally, I would prefer, if you didn't have any pet(s), but I'm open to making exceptions.
If that's the case, we would have to work that out, with the landlord.

I could even build a snake tank, above the hallway, if you’ve got one!!
But… Sorry (not Sorry)… NO cats…
