We are a 16 minute walk to the MBTA Purple Line commuter train West Roxbury Station on the Needham Heights line, which provides a 20 min ride to Back Bay Station and 25 min ride to South Station.

5 min walk to coffee and restaurants, or #35 or #36 MBTA bus lines to Forest Hills Orange Line Station, or #52 bus to UMass Amherst Newton Campus, Newton Center, and Watertown.

I am a quiet, but active, retired professional who will be living in the rest of the house with a dog which occasionally barks. The yard is well kept. I often have family visiting, but keep normal hours and try to be respectful of my tenant. Noise is kept to a minimum. It will be your responsibility to keep your space clean at all times to avoid pests. It might be necessary for you to curb trash and recycling barrels if I am away. Possible rent reduction in winter months for helping with snow removal.
I expect clear communication. I think it is important that we both feel honored and safe, so I am particular about finding a good match. Lease is month to month in case it doesn't work out for either of us, but I would prefer a long term occupancy. The last tenant stayed nearly six years.
