Spacious apartment in Brighton near Newton line

Hi! I’m looking for two roommates for a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment in Brighton that I am trying to sign a lease on for September 1st. The apartment is near Oak Square, on the Brighton-Newton line, on the second floor of a two-family home. Rent is $3,200 a month in total (~$1000-$1200/room, one of the bedrooms being a bit larger), with a 1 year lease from September 1, 2026 to August 31, 2027. First, last and security deposit due at signing. There is shared laundry in the basement, and off-street driveway parking. The apartment is reportedly 1350 sq feet in total – all of the bedrooms are quite roomy, with a spacious common area (both a living room and a dining room, with an open double door between them). The backyard has a nice large patio space, and is reportedly shared with the first floor tenant. I am moving from another apartment in Brighton specifically because I'd like to get a dog and my current landlord won't allow dogs (not my dog in the photo). If you have a pet, they’d have to be friendly with dogs, and I’d have to ask the leasing agent if the landlord is amenable to additional pets.

Alternatively, if you are looking for a roommate for a different apartment, I’m not solely set on this one – I’m open to various places within the Greater Boston area (ideally Allston/Brighton, Watertown, Newton or Brookline). I’d be looking for a medium to large room, preferably in the range of $900-$1300/month, in a dog-friendly, 2-4 bedroom apartment.

I value cleanliness in shared spaces. My work hours have me waking up early, so while I am more than happy with roommates having people over, I hope to not have a home base that is always a party house. No smoking.

A little about me: My name is Alec (he/him/his). I’m 34, graduated from Harvard in 2014, and work as a lead animal care assistant in the inpatient department of a veterinary hospital in Boston. I consider myself a respectful and generally quiet roommate who keeps his space clean. I love to cook! In my free time, I enjoy hiking, other outdoor activities like cross-country skiing, and classic movies.
