Room in 2 bed/1 bath Winter Hill Apartment

Hello! I’m looking for a roommate to join a lease with me for a 2bed 1bath in Somerville starting October 1st (potential for mid-September).

The apartment is on Kenneson Rd in East Somerville/Winter Hill. It’s about a 10 min bus ride or 20ish minute walk to the orange line at Sullivan Square, and probably a 25 minute walk to Assembly Row.

The unit itself is on the 3rd floor of a triple decker. There’s a large living/dining area, an updated kitchen, and a good sized bathroom. The bedroom can fit a queen bed and has a very deep closet. There’s also a 3-season porch with a washer and dryer, as well as a beautiful shared backyard. It's on a quiet street and has one included parking space. Cat is ok!

The landlord and his wife live on the second floor, and his parents live on the first so it’s a very family oriented arrangement and they all seem great.

Monthly rent will be $2760 total, split proportionally by bedroom (the other room is larger), plus utilities.

About me: early 30s, from Boston and have lived in Somerville for the past 3 years. Pretty neat/clean but not insane about it. I love having people over occasionally and I also love being out and about, going to restaurants, bars, events, etc. I work in office M-F so would be fine with someone who works full time from home.

Looking for someone around the same age who’s chill, respectful. Must pass a criminal background check as per landlord! No broker fees, just first and last months rent due at signing.

The landlord is going to repaint, repair, and clean between leases (hence the 10/1 start date - current tenant has been there for almost 10 years so landlord wants time to do some work after they leave).
