Ad ref# 102312049

Hello there! I'm a 34-year-old woman working from home for a tech company, and I'm searching for a new roommate. I'm currently living in a Victorian-style house in the Spring Hill neighborhood of Somerville, MA. My previous roommate is moving out to live with some friends who are graduating. My current roommate's cat is also leaving with them.

Key Features:
1. Room Size & Location: The available room is 13x10.5 feet, located on the third floor. It will be available from September 1st, with some flexibility on the move-in date.
2. Shared Spaces: We'll share the kitchen, dining room, living room, laundry room, and an extra room that can be used for storage, workouts, an office, or guests.
3. Location Perks: We're a short walk away from several places:
* Coffee shops: Forge, Starbucks, and Dunkin' (10 mins walk)
* Grocery Stores: Two Star Markets and a Market Basket (15 mins walk)
* City Squares: Union Square (20 mins), Porter Square (15 mins), Davis Square (20-25 mins), and Harvard Square (30 mins)
4. In-House Amenities: We have a washer, dryer, and dishwasher. Plus, there's a backyard with gardening space if you're into that!
5. Pet Policy: Future roommates can bring cats, but no other pets, please.
6. Utilities: The rent is $1400 per month, which includes water and trash. On top of this, expect to pay around $27.50 for internet, $25-$180.50 for gas depending on the season (winter gas goes up), and $50-$100 for electric if we use air conditioning in the summer.
7. Cleaning: I have a cleaner, Dina, who comes twice a month. I pay for most of it, but split some of the cost with my current room mate. I am happy to negotiate any of this.

About Me:

I value a calm environment, particularly during my work hours since I work from home. My interests include sci-fi and fantasy, skiing, exploring breweries, and historical European broadsword fighting. While I do enjoy some socializing with my roommate, I also greatly appreciate my personal space.

What I'm Looking For in a Roommate:
1. Age & Profession: I'm looking for a working professional who is in their late twenties to early forties.
2. Gender: I'm seeking a female/non-binary roommate.
3. LGBTQIA+ Affirming: I am an LGBTQIA+ affirming person and am seeking the same in a roommate.
4. Guests: Someone who is open to discussing and mutually agreeing on any guest arrangements. I like to give a heads up about guests coming.
5. Easy Going: I'm hoping for a roommate who enjoys a quiet, chill place to live and understands that we all need our own space sometimes.
6. Straight Talker: I appreciate it when we can talk things out directly if there's a problem or something bothering us.
7. Flexible: It would be great to find someone who's ready to figure things out together when it comes to sharing our space and deciding on house rules.

Moving in will involve the first month's rent plus a security deposit. If you feel we could be a good match and share a comfortable living space, I'd love to hear from you! Let's make this house a home.
