Looking for a cool roommate!

Hi there!

I am looking for a new roommate for the September 1, 2024 lease cycle (with the potential to move in early depending on the date). My current roommate is moving due to a job relocation so trying to find a good match before that happens. I am a 36 year old gay male ideally looking for someone similar in the LGBT community (but not a deal breaker!). I am a professional that works in Boston, and a few days at home. I am a pretty big nerd that loves video games, board games, science fiction, horror, and anything else in that realm. Some details about the apartment and other stuff is below. Anything else you want to know hit me up and would love to chat! I am only sharing pictures of the common spaces in the ad as someone still lives in the room, I am more than happy to share room pics once we chat.

Some things about me:

- Pretty quiet during the week so would want someone to respect the same but still fun and outgoing!
- Very clean and usually keep the apartment (common spaces) how you see in the pictures so would want someone just as tidy and organized.
- I don't smoke cigarettes or Rec. Cann. so that is a no go in the apartment, but a non-smell vape is cool with me.
- Occasionally have game nights with a few friends over but overall share the common spaces and always give a heads up before someone else is in the apartment and would want the same :)
- I work from home on Monday usually so I generally use the office then but other than that can schedule and plan to share the space for whatever works!
- The one bathroom has never really been an issue with another person, generally with a schedule and I am pretty tight on that with my end so open to that flex as well!

Some things about the apartment:

- Located 7 min walk from the Orange line! Malden Center Station.
- The apartment is furnished in every room, so ideally would want someone to only have bedroom furniture but would be open to more if it made sense.
- I have a 7 year old cat named Fred. I adopted him last year and he is the BEST cat you will ever meet. You MUST be ok with a cat, and not have any pets yourself. I have an air filter and clean VERY frequently so there is no cat smell and very minimal pet hair (I am OCD about that).
- The apartment is a 2 bed, one bath with a great office that is on the first floor that is open to share!
- There is a very big driveway and we are allowed two cars for tenants only, so if you have a car you have a spot!
- Laundry is in the building but downstairs, it is coin operated for wash (we don't pay for water) $1.25 per load, and it IS in a creepy basement but better than offsite I guess!
- Utilities are wifi, electric, and oil for heat and hot water which we would split. Oil does get expensive during the winter but with some energy saving things, it's not too bad.
- We have been taking turns on buying bulk basic household items like TP, paper towels and mandatory malden trash bags and that seems to work well but open to changing that!
