Hi all! I’m looking for someone to sublet / take over my room in a 4-bedroom, 2.5-bath townhouse in Cambridgeport starting July 1, with the option to renew. Move-in date can be somewhat flexible.
The bedroom itself is on the smaller side, but the person in this room has the second floor mostly to themselves by housemate agreement, which makes the setup feel much more spacious and private.
The room can come furnished. I’m moving back to France, so I won’t be able to take my furniture with me and would be happy to leave the bed/furniture for a very reasonable price, negotiable.
Rent: $1400/month
Utilities: ~$40–50/month per person electric + internet
Gas including heat: included
We also each pay around $30/month for a monthly cleaning service.
The apartment has an in-unit washer/dryer, dishwasher, garbage disposal, and gas stove. There is also a backyard patio with a grill, which is great in the summer.
You would have your own private toilet/half-bath, and share the shower with two other housemates.
Location:
• ~10-minute walk to Central Square Red Line, public transit, restaurants, nightlife
• ~10 minutes to the Charles River
• <15-minute walk to Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods
• Very close to spots like Black Sheep Bagels
Roommates:
• S 38M — works in consulting; enjoys sailing, cycling, reading, and learning French
• D 25M — scientist working in chemistry; enjoys exploring Boston food spots, Taekwondo, and spending time with friends
• A new roommate, S, will also be moving in soon, so the full housemate setup is still being finalized.
