Cozy, furnished, quiet bedroom in walkable N'hamp

From June 1 thru Aug 31, 2026 we have a furnished bedroom for rent in our large, lovely, neat, and welcoming Victorian home shared with other responsible, kind, quiet adults. House is in a calm, beautiful, walkable historic neighborhood of Northampton close to bike lanes, bus routes, protected farm/meadow land. Ten minute walk to Main Street and Smith College.

Bedroom is 8'x14' and furnished with a single/twin bed, desk + chair, dresser, side table, fan, mini-split for cooling, and lamps, and has strong wifi.

Home contains friendly and well-behaved cat and dog that do not enter bedrooms (plus backyard hens). Shared laundry, kitchen, and shared bathroom with one other person. Bathroom has charming clawfoot tub with hose for sit-down shower (no stand up shower).

Plenty of free on street parking but preference to car-free individuals (bike storage available). Laundry includes 1x/week use of washing machine and line drying. We have a simple rotation for kitchen/bathroom cleaning, and common space for hang-out, including an inviting front porch with cozy couches.

We seek an individual (sorry, no couples) who is kind, responsible, and emotionally solid; financially secure per rental references and credit score; neat/clean especially in common space; and well practiced in and enthusiastic about resource conservation (water, electricity, gas, and waste/recycling/composting). Non-smoking, clean/healthy-living types please. We can't accommodate more pets, sorry!

Rent of $850/month (must rent all three months). Utilities included. First + last month's rent required upfront plus $850 cleaning/security deposit.
