It is a PRIVATE, FURNISHED ROOM in a very safe, family neighborhood. 3 parks within walking distance - Ken Hahn State Park with hiking and fishing, another walking/running park and track in walking distance, and baseball field park on same corner. The neighborhood is called Windsor Hills and the house is LOCATED on its western border, just adjacent to Culver City with easy access to many areas. By car is 10 minutes to Marina del Rey and LAX, 15 minutes to Beverly Hills and downtown, etc. Stores such as Trader Joes are less than 2 miles away.

Looking for someone who works nearby but lives outside of the area with a long commute and who doesn't want to pay the cost for hotels or to rent a full apartment/house with things not needed. If this is you, please read below, as it answers most other questions. If you reply to the ad, please include some information about yourself and what you are looking for.

Bedroom is BRIGHT, CLEAN & BEAUTIFUL with hardwood floors, HUGE, DEEP CLOSET with built in drawers and storage on top. (was the original master bedroom when the house was first built.)

$700 INCLUDES gas, water, electric, turbo speed wifi internet & cable TV. Small frig and microwave in room. The room also has AIR CONDITIONING to keep you cool during hot summer nights.

Always available, very safe street parking in front of the house.

Share full bathroom with a commuter who has a residence in Orange County but works in Culver City and is only here to sleep a few nights a week. When he is here, he is clean, quiet and considerate. You may never even see him, which was the case with the last roommate.

The house is divided into two sections. Roommates come in through the front door and have access to the front porch, front bedrooms and bath and living room. I live in the back (which is completely walled off) and come in a side entrance. You would never see me either so if you are looking for a place to socialize with housemates and don't like being alone, you wouldn't like it here. This really is a place for people who are extremely busy and focused on work/studies and just need a quiet (No parties), safe, clean environment on the west side.

There is small frig and microwave in the room that for those who don't cook is all they need.

Finally, the reason the rent is so low for the location is because there is no kitchen access. If access to the entire house was given, the rent would be double because the house is so nice. But the house really is blocked off in the back and there is no access to the kitchen. I have had this set up for the last few years and have found roommates who have not missed having access to a kitchen and were happier to save on rent as the trade off, because they didn't really need it. One woman commuter (she went home every weekend) was not sure how it would work for her but ended up preferring it and stayed here a year. But, if you are someone who needs to cook, as the room has no ventilation for cooking on portable stoves, etc. , this is not a place that would work for you. This really is a room set up for commuters or, in rare cases, a non commuter that does not need a kitchen even if it was available.
