I have a bedroom with a private bath for rent in a 2 bedroom 2 bath condo in the Alamitos Beach area of Long Beach. Nice quiet well-kept area a half mile from the beach where there are biking/running trails. Very close to 4th St/Retro Row and Bixby Park with a Farmer's Market and Yoga in the Park. The unit is on the top floor of the complex so there's no sound from above. The complex has a community washer/dryer and keyed entry. Parking is at a nearby church (500 ft away) Sunday evening thru Saturday morning for a fee. I have passes for May/June already that I can give you. There is also street parking as a 2nd choice which can get crowded.

The total rent is $1800 and the bedroom would be $825 + utilities (electricity and internet). $825 deposit. I'd pay $975 since my room is the master bedroom with a parking spot. You'd need to apply and sign onto the lease (1 yr and then month to month) with the lady who manages the unit. The bedroom is 11x11 with a closet and also has a small storage cabinet in the hallway. The 2nd bathroom floor just got new floor tile and the kitchen floor has new vinyl wood flooring. I recently moved in and have furniture for my room and a few other items but am going to get a couch, coffee table, TV etc. for the common areas.

A little about me:
-High school engineering/architecture teacher with full time employment.
-39, single straight white male.
-Easy going, responsible, clean, friendly, educated, outdoorsy, active, traveler.
-Not too many guests over, occasional friends or family.
-I have a beer or glass of wine once or twice a week, but not a partier.

About you:
-Male with consistent job and able to afford the rent without issues. Would consider female for the right person.
-No work from home situations (unless it's infrequent), sorry.
-Clean, responsible, no drama, doesn't bring the party home.
-Shared interests is good but not required.
-Would be great to find someone who I mesh with personality wise.
-Small dog/cat (25 lbs or under) is allowed if you have one, but the owner requires a deposit. Must be house trained.
-I'm not big on live in significant others (unless they want to pay extra rent), but occasional friends/family is fine.
-I'm not interested in exchange of services for rent.
