Room for rent/house share in 2 bedroom house in the small rural village of Washington, LA. (10 minutes North of Opelousas, LA., 35 minutes North/South of the first exit/on-ramp in Lafayette, LA. and 2.5 miles from the French Quarter, New Orleans (Jackson Square). Amenities include: use of a washer and dryer and all appliances in the kitchen with some cups/glasses, plates, bowls, cutlery, cookware and utensils. I am someone who only uses enough water to "get the job done" and while others are running their a. c. as cold as a meat locker, I tend to have the front and back door open, enjoying a cross breeze, with a ceiling fan going if it is really hot. This does not mean that I expect others to this as well, but please know that the air conditioner does need to be on the eco-mode setting at all times, and the same goes for the space heater in the winter. (This keeps the electric bills manageable).
